I was in a rush so I made the reservation through expedia without knowing anything about the hotel. I was happily surprised because the rooms are really nice, superclean and really well equiped. The service has been one of the best in my life. All the people working at the hotel are warm and very helpful with anything you need. The restaurant is located on the fifth floor and the view you get during breakfast is simply the best way you can have to start a really good day. The breakfast is really good in size and quality so you won't be dissapoinnted and the service is really fast. Luck and life smiled at my with this hotel during my stay in Medellin. 110% recommended if you are coming to Medellin and if you are looking for a good place to stay.

Nice non-descript hotel located in the Belen Laureles section of the city. This is my first trip to Colombia, let alone the South American continent in general.
The hotel is located on a busy intersection, part of it lined with trees and the other leading to a main strip comprising of restaurants, stores, banks, small bars and cafes (Belen). This stretch has a bit of an edge to it and leads to a train station that is part of the Medellin Metro system. If you exit the hotel make an abrupt left and then another one, you will pass a building that is being renovated and then turn left again.
If you exit the hotel and keep walking slightly left, you will proceed towards Laureles, a tree lined neighborhood replete with restaurants, bars, cafes, clothing stores, pharmacies, grocery stores and residences. In short, you are within walking distance of amenities and nightlife, so you are not isolated here. In fact, you are a bit off of the beaten path of many of Medellin's major areas such as Poblado, El Centro and such but at the same time, you can get anywhere you need to via taxi. The area at night is relatively safe, but as with anywhere, use caution after dark, especially if you have had a merry night out. If in doubt, there are numerous cabs abound.
As for the hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff from the front desk, to the restaurant and cleaning people. The rooms are sparse, meaning almost minimalist and not a lot of extra furnishings. You will have to stick your room key into an outlet for the lights, AC and TV to operate, since this is a green themed hotel. There are no safes or fridges in the rooms but don't let that turn you away. Bring your own safe if you wish to store any valuables and the hotel has a safe at the front desk. Given my experience, I would trust the staff to watch my belongings. There is also an armed guard after dark and the front door is secured. If you leave your room door partially ajar, an alarm will sound.
There is no fancy lobby, but a TV and sitting area is off of the front desk.
The restaurant on the roof is spectacular with a fabulous view of Medellin and they offer a basic free breakfast which includes Arepas, eggs, bread, fruit and coffee. At night, there is a decent dinner menu including seafood, sandwiches, various hearty cuts of beef and pork, and a nice beer, drink and wine menu.
Be aware that the staff speaks little English, so use Google Translate if your Spanish isn't up to par. I have a basic and foundational knowledge of Spanish, but the translate came in handy.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you want something quiet, simple and affordable. As mentioned, I can't comment enough about how gracious the staff was to me during my stay. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Medellin.

The room we eventually got was wonderful, with a big bathtub. Initially, we were taken to a room without any windows, air conditioning or fan for a family of 4. Receptionist could use more training in welcoming guests and getting them to their rooms quicker. The view of the hotel rooftop restaurant is lovely.

A new, great value hotel, located Southwest of the city. While all rooms do not have a view, and the breakfast menu is limited (fruit, eggs, arepa or bread, juice and coffee/chocolate), the rooms are extremely clean and the bed is very soft and comfortable (not to mention huge). The staff is really friendly and helpful, I do recommend the place, and would certainly considergoing back when O visit Medellín again.

I was there with my family in November 2017 for dinner, my husband order steak and I had chicken, it was the best we had ever have... I can say the best in Medellin.
The view was nice too.
