Um grande espaço aberto, perfeito para assistir ao jogo e jogar sinuca e tomar hambúrgueres e cervejas. A equipe é simpática e amigável e a proprietária Rosie é uma super querida e é a rainha não oficial de Jaco!

A big open space, perfect for watching the game and shooting some pool and have burgers and beers. The staff is nice and friendly and the owner Rosie is a super sweetheart and is the un-official Queen of Jaco!
Nós só comemos no restaurante e uau! Os nachos estavam muito bons e bem cobertos com feijão e pico. Os kebabs estavam deliciosos! Acho que foram os melhores kebabs que já comemos, estavam húmidos e saborosos.
We only ate at the restaurant and wow! The Nachos was very good and covered well with beans and pico. The kebabs were delicious! I think they were the best kebabs we’ve ever had, they were moist and flavorful.

Visitou o hotel OZ em várias ocasiões. Provavelmente o melhor lugar em Jaco no que diz respeito aos hotéis. Quarto #15 é o que você quer. Você tem que pedir com antecedência, pois costuma ser reservado. Está localizado à beira da piscina e tem uma entrada separada. O quarto é pequeno, mas a cama é king size, super confortável, o ar condicionado funciona muito bem e você tem uma varanda com vista para a piscina e para o mar. É muito bom. Certifique-se de trazer seu próprio xampu, condicionador de cabelo e outras coisas para o banheiro. Eles só fornecem sabão. O bar no lobby é divertido. Há muito entretenimento, você pode assistir a jogos de esportes, eles têm telas HD e as melhores asas de frango que já experimentei. As mesas de sinuca são novas. Funcionários super simpáticos. Só para você saber, não há fornecedor de cervejas importadas na Costa Rica. Então você está limitado a apenas cerveja engarrafada. Apenas um lugar em Jaco serve cervejas artesanais em chope e para ser sincero não sou fã. Então, minha droga de escolha é Corona com limão. A carne local não é tão macia e, novamente, a carne importada é um problema. No que diz respeito a coisas como uma boa aposta. Há duas boas churrascarias na área que estão importando bifes. Bife maturado a seco não é possível devido à umidade. Então tem um lugar importando carne da Argentina chamado “El Novillo” e outro texano grill, o dono traz bifes dos EUA, o nome é “Hartley Ranch”. Eu prefiro El Novillo pelo sabor. Rosy e Kelvin são as principais pessoas que administram o hotel OZ e o bar. Você pode pedir muitas coisas como passeios pela região, onde comprar roupas de boa qualidade (é um problema na Costa Rica), e onde conseguir frutas frescas e sucos naturais em Jaco, entre outras coisas. Eles terão o maior prazer em ajudar. Lembre-se de ponta para tudo. As pessoas não estão fazendo nada de graça na Costa Rica. O dinheiro é muito difícil para os locais, você tem que ter certeza de que se alguém fizer algo por você, apenas coisas simples como parar o trânsito para que você possa voltar, você tem que jogar algumas moedas (menos de 10 centavos) ou algo assim . O quanto você conseguir. Dinheiro é um problema. Você não quer moeda local. Há apenas um caixa eletrônico que dá dólares. A fila é enorme. A melhor época para ir buscar dinheiro é quando está chovendo. Leve dinheiro com você, notas pequenas: $ 1, $ 5, $ 10 e $ 20 apenas para que você tenha algum dinheiro para gorjetas. Por exemplo, se você for uma família e fizer um passeio de barco, dê $ 10 por pessoa em gorjetas para a tripulação. O hotel oferece um cofre seguro para que você não precise se preocupar com roubo. Roubo no hotel OZ não é possível. A equipe do hotel é muito cuidadosa e as pessoas estão super preocupadas com a reputação do hotel. Portanto, nada para se preocupar. Na Costa Rica, você deve reduzir suas expectativas e desfrutar de Pura Vida. Você não poderá obter acomodações de 5 estrelas em nenhum lugar. Tudo ao seu redor será feito localmente. Não é a melhor qualidade às vezes. Só não espere Ritz Carlton em todos os lugares. Seja feliz com o que você recebe. Eu sou um cara grande e sim, eu quebrei muitas cadeiras. Só não faça isso de propósito. Recomendo alugar um carro, peça a Rosy um carro melhor e um bom desconto. Tente pagar em dinheiro, você vai conseguir um negócio melhor. Certifique-se de obter um contrato assinado pela locadora e negociar cobertura total, milhas que você pode dirigir e perguntar onde você pode dirigir. Se você alugar um carro no aeroporto, Expedia, etc… você vai pagar muito caro e vai conseguir um carro de 4 cilindros por uma quantia enorme de dinheiro. Eu chamo esses carros de “fãs de cabelo”, soa assim e não tem potência. Eu normalmente alugo o Nissan Rouge. Na Costa Rica, você sempre pode negociar um preço melhor, então não seja tímido e expresse sua opinião quando estiver prestes a pagar por algo. Apenas lembre-se, se você reservar com antecedência em sites dos EUA, você pagará o dobro. É muito melhor pagar em dinheiro e ter alguém local para ajudá-lo com tudo o que você precisa. Se você sair à noite, ser-lhe-ão oferecidas drogas. Não compre nada em hipótese alguma! Se alguém oferecer a você, é falso ou está tentando roubá-lo. Não mostre seu dinheiro em público. Fora isso, a Costa Rica é linda, mal posso esperar para voltar!

Visited hotel OZ on several occasions. Probably the best place in Jaco as far as hotels are. Room #15 is what you want. You have to ask for it ahead of time as it gets booked often. It is located on the poolside and has a separate entrance. The room is small, but the bed is king size, super comfortable, air conditioning works great and you have a balcony with the pool and ocean views. It is really nice. Make sure you bring your own shampoo, hair conditioner, and other things for the bathroom. They only supply soap. The bar in the lobby is fun. There is a lot of entertainment, you can watch sports games, they have HD screens and the best chicken wings I ever tried. The pool tables are new. Super friendly employees. Just so you know, there is no supplier of imported draft beers in Costa Rica. So you are limited to only bottled beer. Only one place in Jaco serves craft beers on draft and to be honest I am not a fan. So my drug of choice is Corona with lime. Local meat is not as tender and again imported meat is a problem. As far as things like a good stake. There are two nice steak houses in the area that are importing steaks. Dry-aged steak is not possible due to humidity. So there is one place importing meat from Argentina called “El Novillo” and the other one Texas grill, the owner brings steaks from the USA, the name is “Hartley Ranch”. I prefer El Novillo for taste. Rosy and Kelvin are the main people who run the hotel OZ and the bar. You can ask them for many things like tours around the area, where to buy good quality clothing (it's a problem in Costa Rica), and where to get fresh fruits and natural juices in Jaco, among other things. They will be more than happy to help. Remember to tip for everything. People are not doing anything for free in Costa Rica. Money is very difficult for locals, you have to make sure that if someone doing anything for you, just simple things like stopping the traffic so you can back up, you have to throw a few coins (less than 10 cents) or something like that. As much as you can. Cash is a problem. You do not want local currency. There is only one ATM that gives dollars. The line is huge. The best time to go get money is when it's raining. Bring cash with you, small bills: $1, $5, $10, and $20 just so you have some cash for tips. For example, if you are a family and you go on a boat trip, give $10 per person in tips to the crew. The hotel provides a secure lock box so you don’t have to worry about theft. Theft at the hotel OZ is not possible. The hotel staff is very careful and people are super concerned about the hotel’s reputation. So nothing to worry about. In Costa Rica, you have to set your expectations low and enjoy Pura Vida. You will not be able to get 5 stars accommodations anywhere. Everything around you will be made locally. Not the best quality sometimes. Just don’t expect Ritz Carlton everywhere. Be happy with what you get. I am a big guy and yes, I have broken many chairs. Just don’t do it on purpose. I recommend renting a car, ask Rosy to get a better car and a good discount. Try to pay in cash, you will get a better deal. Make sure you get a contract signed by the rental company and negotiate full coverage, miles you can drive, and ask where you can drive. If you rent a car at the airport, Expedia, etc… you will overpay a lot and you will get 4 cylinder car for an enormous amount of money. I call these cars “hair fans”, it does sound like it and has no power. I normally rent Nissan Rouge. In Costa Rica, you can always negotiate a better price, so don’t be shy and express your opinion when you are about to pay for something. Just remember, if you book in advance on US websites, you will pay double.It is much better to pay cash and have someone locally to help you with everything you need. If you go out at night, you will be offered drugs. Do not buy anything under any circumstances! If someone offers it to you, it is either fake or they are trying to rob you. Do not show your cash in public. Other than that Costa Rica is beautiful, can't wait to go back!
I got trapped out of my Condo because my key broke. The guys and girls at Oz hooked me up. My credit card was in my Condo so they got me a room and I put down a $100 deposit, otherwise I would of been sleeping in the street. So, thank you, you really helped me. Also, the sports bar is by far the best in town. A terrific vibe, I will be back and thanks for hooking me up.
I had a lot of fun at this bar. The staff here is awesome from the security to the bar backs and bar tenders. Everyone is great especially Rosie who runs this place and does a great job making sure everything is going well.
Jaco pode ser um lugar meio áspero. Felizmente Rosie dirige um navio apertado. E dirige uma equipe honesta. Meu amigo de 71 anos se distraiu e foi aproveitado. Rosie foi muito útil fornecendo a vigilância por vídeo e obtendo a restituição. A comida é boa. Eles têm uma mesa de sinuca. E um monte de TVs. Ótimo lugar...
Jaco can be a rough kinda place. Thankfully Rosie runs a tight ship. And runs an honest staff. My 71 year old buddy got distracted and was taken advantage of. Rosie was most helpful providing the video surveillance and obtaining restitution. The food is good. They have a pool table. And a bunch of TVs. Great place...
Gabi é incrível! A Angie é linda! Maria é a mais legal e o proprietário é muito acolhedor. Os quartos são limpos e o bar e grill no térreo é fenomenal. Saiba que não existem acessórios de cozinha ou secadores de cabelo ou tábuas de engomar mas a localização é muito perto da praia e irá desfrutar da sua estadia.
Gabbie is awesome! Angie is beautiful! Maria is the coolest and the owner is very accommodating. Rooms are clean and the bar and grill downstairs is phenomenal. Do know that there are no kitchen accessories or blow dryers or ironing boards but the location is very close to the beach and you will enjoy your stay.

Lo único bueno es la ubicacióny la atención del personal es muy buen. perocomo no va tener seguridad el hotel? La seguridad es una reja ;( . La piscina es separada de las habitaciones..así que si quieres entrar a la piscina..tendrás que pasar por la calle en vestido de baño...es muy CARO para lo que realmente es . Si fuera más económico se entendería .
