Camas superfaturadas, desconfortáveis, sem estacionamento e check-out inflexível. Paguei US$ 600 para ficar aqui uma noite enquanto visitava minha Alma Mater. Reduza suas perdas e vá para Statler ou Argos (se você quiser uma experiência melhor), ou encontre um Super 8 de 1 estrela que tenha a mesma experiência que este Marriott.
Overpriced, uncomfortable beds, no parking, and inflexible checkout. I paid $600 to stay here one night while visiting my Alma Mater. I was not pleased at all with the experience:1) there’s nowhere to park. They force you to valet and wait 20 min to return the vehicle. There are too many cars parked in front of the hotel and nowhere to idle elsewhere, so I spent ~30 min doing laps around the building until valet could take these car. If you just need to run inside and grab something, there’s absolutely nowhere to park.2) the hotel is new but the beds aren’t. It felt like sleeping on a king sized cot. Lumpy, uneven, and not at all luxurious. Indoor camping experience.3) despite everyone leaving today (it’s a Sunday afternoon), they won’t allow late checkout. Checkout is 11 and I asked to leave my belongings until 1pm so I could go to the bookstore on the commons. They said that’ll be considered one extra day ($600 more!).I will not return to this place. Cut your losses and go to Statler or Argos (if you want a nicer experience), or find a 1-star Super 8 that is about the same experience as this Marriott.

They get two stars because the room was fairly nice. However, we are still disputing charges with these people via the credit card company because they simply refused to help us at the desk on check-out. The charges keep trickling in so this is on-going. Find someplace else to stay.

Marriotts foram downhill por um tempo agora, por isso foi muito agradavelmente surpreendido com o Ithaca Downtown Marriott. É relativamente novo e tudo estava em ótimas condições. O quarto e o banheiro eram muito limpos e tudo funcionou. As camas eram confortáveis e os lençóis em boa forma (e limpo!) - um evento raro para muitos Marriotts estes dias. O lobby é muito bom, novo e agradável. O quarto também era de bom tamanho, com muito espaço e várias janelas deixando entrar uma boa quantidade de luz. Paredes, teto, móveis, cortinas, carpetes, etc. também estavam em ótima forma e limpos. Parece o que você normalmente esperaria de um hotel e especialmente um Marriott, mas já faz um tempo desde que eu realmente o vi (incluindo em JWs). A equipe da recepção e manobrista também foram maravilhosos. Então essa foi uma surpresa maravilhosa e rara!
La gerencia del hotel (Kellen) y el personal fueron increíblemente educados, profesionales y eficientes. Mi habitación estaba limpia y tranquila. Realmente disfruté de mi comida con la familia en el restaurante Monk's en el hotel. Lista de vinos asequible y decente, ascensores rápidos, limpio dentro y fuera del hotel. Excelente ubicación para acceder a restaurantes locales, tiendas, parques, Cornell e Ithaca College. ¡Volveré!
Marriotts have been going downhill for a for a while now, so was very pleasantly surprised by the Ithaca Downtown Marriott.It is fairly new and everything was in great condition.The room and the bathroom were very clean and everything worked.The beds were comfortable and the linens in good shape (and clean!) - a rare event for many Marriotts these days.The lobby is very nice, new and pleasant.The room was also good size with plenty of space and several windows letting in a good amount of light.Walls, ceiling, furniture, curtains, carpet, etc. were also in great shape and clean.Sounds like what you'd typically expect from a hotel and especially a Marriott, but it's been a while since I've actually seen it (including at JWs).Front desk staff and valet were also both wonderful.So this was a wonderful and rare surprise!
The hotel management (Kellen) and staff were incredibly polite, professional and efficient! My room was clean and quiet. I really enjoyed my meal with family at the Monk's restaurant in the hotel. Affordable and decent wine list, fast elevators, clean inside and outside of the hotel. Great location for access to local restaurants, stores, parks, Cornell and Ithaca College. I will be back!
This review is not about a stay at the Marriott, but about a wedding block and our treatment by the bartender at Monk’s, Orlando, after the wedding. The majority of our wedding guests stayed at this hotel. While the stay was fine, we had a really bad experience when we arrived back at the hotel around 11:30 pm. We were told we could continue the party at the hotel bar at Monk’s, however the bartender, Orlando, refused to serve one person and one person only, the bride! He said that she was visibly intoxicated, which she most certainly was not - evidenced by us all continuing across the street for the next few hours and getting home safe and sound. We are in our late 30’s, not college kids. We all tried to tell him calmly that what he might have thought was slurred speech was actually a foreign accent, but he refused to engage and was rude to the woman who was standing there in her wedding dress. No apology, no kindness, just a snarky look as he flexed his power to refuse service to the person who deserved all of those things on that day. The rest of the patrons, including an off-duty Monk’s bartender, followed us across the street and brought their business to another bar. They even told us that this particular bartender has a history of picking on one guest and refusing them service. I understand looking out for people’s safety, but to do so to a bride on her wedding night because she has an accent, and refusing to change his mind because of his pride is just unacceptable. We let the hotel know and they said somebody would be reaching out to apologize. That never happened. Very disappointed in the Marriott. If you get a drink at Monk’s, and it wasn’t your first, or you speak with a foreign accent, make sure to avoid Orlando as your bartender, or else you may be disrespected publicly. p.s. I highly suggest the Ithaca Ale House right across the street. The service was great!
Se eu pudesse dar a este hotel nenhuma estrela eu daria. Como alguém que já passou ANOS em um cargo de gerenciamento de restaurante / hotel de alto nível, nunca escrevo críticas negativas porque sei o quão prejudicial pode ser para um negócio. No entanto, foi uma estadia tão decepcionante que estou chocado com o fato de haver comentários tão bons. Como um hotel que aceita animais de estimação, finalmente consegui fugir pela primeira vez em vários anos com meu namorado, que é um membro de elite de titânio das recompensas do Marriott devido às suas viagens frequentes. A única pessoa gentil que conhecemos neste hotel foi o garoto com manobrista. I foi zombado pelo cavalheiro no manobrista para fazer uma pergunta se havia carrinhos de bagagem em algum lugar para eu usar e trazer para o meu quarto e mais tarde gritou para nós para estacionamento em frente tentando corrigir os erros que eles fizeram. Trouxe dois cremes na hora do café e não reabasteci a menos que eu pudesse chamar sua atenção e pedir mais café. Nos foi cobrado US$ 5,00 por ingrediente adicional em nosso café da manhã em vez de US$ 0,50. Acabamos de pagar porque naquele momento de nossa pernoite não havia sentido em lutar contra isso. No check-out, verificamos se as cobranças corretas estavam no cartão de crédito certo para o qual o agente da recepção disse "esta é a pessoa que se recusou a sair" porque tínhamos solicitado check-out tardio. Depois que saímos, vimos que toda a nossa estadia foi cobrada em DOBRO no cartão de crédito. Recebo pessoas tendo dias ruins, mas isso foi coletivamente de toda a equipe do hotel que encontramos. If I could give this hotel no stars I would. As someone that once spent YEARS in a high end restaurant/hotel management position, I never write negative reviews because I know how detrimental it can be for a business. However, it was all around such a disappointing stay that I am shocked that there are such good reviews. As a pet friendly hotel, I was finally able to get away for the first time in several years with my boyfriend that is a titanium elite member of Marriott rewards due to his frequent travel. The ONLY kind person we met at this hotel was the valet kid. I was scoffed at by the older gentleman at the valet for asking a question if there were luggage carts somewhere for me to use and bring to my room and later yelled at us for parking out front trying to correct the errors THEY made. The female manager behind the front desk at customer service should never work in customer service. She belittled customers in line for mistakes the hotel had made, and refused a late check out for us when asked (even though titanium members are allowed late check out). Again, because I've worked in hotel hospitality, I know the difference between can't allow and won't allow. Breakfast the next day was slow, the servers weren't even there when we arrived at breakfast at 7:30 (opens at 7:00am). Server seemed uninterested in taking care of tables. Brought two creamer over at time for coffee and did not refill unless I could grab her attention and ask for more coffee. We were charged $5.00 per additional ingredient in our breakfast instead of $0.50. We just paid it because at that point of our overnight stay there was no point fighting it. At check out we checked to make sure the right charges were on the right credit card to which the front desk agent said "this is the person that refused to leave" because we had asked for late check out. Mind you, we were already checked out and leaving at 11:00am so ZERO need to make that comment. She was rude about checking the charges saying they couldn't charge different credit cards (I know this is absolutely possible, even on a basic hospitality program). After we left we saw that our entire stay was charged DOUBLE to the credit card. I get people having bad days, but this was collectively from the entire hotel staff we encountered. From someone that always treated people with respect in a professional environment, I absolutely expect the same.
Somos viajantes muito frequentes que geralmente preferem a rede Marriott, mas este é de longe o pior hotel de serviço que visitamos. O serviço de manobrista, se é que se pode chamar assim, é tão preguiçoso que nem sai para pegar as chaves, te ajuda a sair do carro, ajuda com as malas, só te deixa vagando. Eles literalmente ficam do lado de dentro observando você de uma janela enquanto você se senta e espera por ajuda, percebe que não está chegando, descarrega suas coisas, entra, se aproxima da mesa e finalmente pergunta se você precisava de algo. O gerente loiro de plantão 'Barb' foi extremamente rude quando o cara mais legal que eu conheço fez uma pergunta simples. Alguém deve lembrá-la de que ela trabalha no atendimento ao cliente e precisa ser amigável com todos esses clientes que pagam muito para ficar em um hotel de autoatendimento, assim como seu salário.
We are very frequent travelers that usually prefer Marriott chain but this is hands down the worst service hotel we’ve visited. The valet service, if you can even call it that, is so lazy they won’t even come outside to get your keys, help you out of the car, help with luggage, they just leave you to wander. They literally stand inside watching you from a window while you sit and wait for help, realize it’s not coming, unload your stuff, go inside, approach their desk and then they finally ask if you needed something. The blond manager on duty ‘Barb’ was extremely rude when the nicest guy I know asked her a simple question. Someone should remind her she works in customer service and needs to be friendly to all of these customers paying way too much to stay at a self service hotel as well as her salary.
O hotel se hospedaram no Marriott no centro de Ithaca NY duas vezes e cada vez os quartos foram aos jardins impecáveis, e o serviço foi excelente (embora, como todas as indústrias de serviço, eles são curta equipe). O café da manhã no Monk's Restaurant também é muito bom.Durante a nossa estadia mais recente, meu filho trabalhou comigo no centro de fitness e fez muito depois de uma grande refeição. We have stayed in the Marriott in downtown Ithaca NY twice and each time the rooms were immaculately clean, and the service was excellent (even though, like all service industries, they are short staffed). The breakfast at Monk’s Restaurant is really good, too. During our most recent stay, my son worked out with me in the fitness center, and did too much after a large meal. He got sick, and after calling the front desk, a very kind custodian came to help. His name was Jose, and he was very understanding and helpful. We were very grateful for him. He should be commended for his service and his kindness.

Excelente hotel Pero es unpoco costoso para un pueblo como es Ithaca Tienen las mismas tarifas, o aún más costosas que Manhattan
